A comedy show 16 years in the making

Wilmington, NC (August 2026)

This September, join Pineapple-Shaped Lamps as they celebrate nearly two decades of comedy with their SWEET 16 ANNIVERSARY SHOW, only at Thalian Hall!

Since PSL’s first sketch performance back in 2010, the company has traveled across time, space,

and the stages of several now-shuttered theatres to bring you the silliest and sharpest comedy

around. Now, sixteen years on, they’re digging into their archives—and even writing a new scene or

two—to bring this special anniversary performance to the Ruth and Bucky Stein Theatre

Running for one weekend only, this supersized sketch show brings together PSL cast members past

and present from Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Raleigh, and right here in the Cape Fear to

put on the best party any fruit’s ever received this side of a Chiquita Banana commercial.

Featuring over twenty cast members, a dozen sketches, and at least once full-body Pineapple

costume, the show runs September 4-6, 2026 at the Ruth and Bucky Stein Theatre at Thalian Hall.

Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 pm; Sunday’s show begins at 3:00 pm. Tickets can be
