On Thursday, October 2, a propane gas leak caused a devastating explosion inside a food truck just before the festival kicked off for the long weekend. Eric Zeilgler and Ryan Mallone were both were badly injured and airlifted to the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill.
Both are on the road to recovery, which include surgeries, burn treatments, and months of rehabilitation. That all comes at all sorts of costs in and outside the healthcare system. You can donate to recovery fundraisers for Eric Zeigler here and Ryan Mallone here.
