A Collective Reading on Visibility, Becoming, and Why the Cosmos Will Not Let You Stay Small Anymore
Hi there besties,
It's me. Seph. Back from my extended sabbatical, which I'm choosing to call a hermit era and not a complete failure to meet a deadline. The hermit, after all, is a sacred archetype. A seeker. A wise soul who retreats into the cave to find deeper truth before returning to share it with the world. That's basically what happened. I was in my cave. Finding truth. Definitely not just surviving and forgetting what month it was.
Anyway. I'm back. And the universe, in its infinite sense of humor, has decided that my return from hiding should be a piece entirely about why you need to stop hiding.
I see you, cosmos. Very funny.
Let's talk about visibility. Not the Instagram kind. Not the personal brand kind. The real kind. The terrifying, gut-clenching, what-if-they-actually-see-me kind. Because that's what's on the collective table right now and I think most of us have been pretending it isn't.
Before we dive in, you know the drill. Take what resonates, leave the rest. Not everything has to land perfectly to move something in you. Ok?
The Basement Has Been Making Noise
Here's what's happening in the sky right now and why you cannot escape this conversation no matter how hard you try.
Pluto is retrograde. And before your eyes glaze over, let me tell you what that actually means in human language. Pluto is the planet of death, rebirth, and everything you have been shoving into the basement of your psyche because you were not ready to deal with it. When it goes retrograde it stops tearing things down in the outside world and turns its attention inward. It goes downstairs with a flashlight. And it finds everything.
Everything.
That low grade anxiety that has become so familiar you stopped noticing it. The thing you almost said out loud six months ago and then swallowed back down. The version of yourself you edited out before anyone had the chance to reject her. The dream you quietly filed under unrealistic because wanting it too loudly felt dangerous.
Pluto retrograde is not asking you if you are ready to look at this stuff. It is simply turning the lights on.
And here is your prompt for this section because I promised you something to actually do with all of this. Sit with this question and write it down without editing yourself: What have I been surviving that I have been calling fine?
Not the surface stuff. The thing underneath the thing. The thing you thought about in the shower this morning and immediately pushed away because you did not have time to feel it. That one.

Nine of Swords Reversed: The Worst Is Already Over (You Just Don't Know It Yet)
I pulled cards for the collective this month and the first one out was the Nine of Swords reversed, which is the universe's way of saying hi, you have been lying awake catastrophizing and I need you to know that the thing you have been dreading has already started to shift.
Upright, the Nine of Swords is that 2 a.m. spiral. The mind that will not stop. The suffering that lives almost entirely in your thoughts rather than in reality. Reversed, it means the worst of that is lifting. The prolonged fear based hiding, the low grade dread that became your baseline, the armor you have been wearing so long you forgot it was armor, it is ready to come off.
Not because everything is fixed. But because something in you finally knows that the hiding has stopped protecting you and started costing you.
The collective has been lying awake in its own fear for a long time, besties. And Pluto retrograde is the lights coming on. The Nine of Swords reversed is you finally being willing to open your eyes.
Uranus Just Rewired the Whole Conversation
On April 25th, Uranus moved into Gemini for the first time in 84 years. And Gemini rules communication. Storytelling. The voice. The way we speak about ourselves and our lives and what we decide is worth saying out loud.
Uranus is the planet of sudden awakening and disruption. In Gemini it is specifically rewiring how the collective thinks, speaks, and tells its own story. Which means right now, the cosmos is actively dismantling the old narratives. The ones you inherited. The ones you built to stay safe. The ones that start with “people like me don't” and “I've never been someone who” and “I'll do that when I'm ready.”
Here is the thing about the stories we tell about ourselves. There is always a place where they stop being true and start being armor. Where fact becomes protection. Where this is who I am becomes this is who I decided to be so nobody could hurt me first.
Uranus in Gemini is asking you to find that line.
Your prompt: Write the story you tell about yourself most often. The one that explains why you are the way you are. Then find the sentence where you stopped being the main character and became the person things happen to. That is exactly where Uranus wants you to start rewriting.
Six of Cups: You Are Not Becoming Someone New
The second card I pulled was the Six of Cups. The reframe.
The Six of Cups is the card of the past. Of returning. Of the self that existed before life got complicated and before you learned to edit yourself down into something more acceptable and less threatening and easier to be around.
Here is what it is saying to the collective right now. The person you are trying to become is not actually someone new. It is someone you used to be before the world got to you. Before someone laughed when you took up too much space. Before you learned that wanting things too loudly made you a target. Before you figured out that staying small was the safer bet.
The becoming is not a construction project. It is an excavation.
You are not building a new self from scratch. You are digging up the one that got buried. And that matters because excavation is different from construction. You do not have to invent anything. You just have to be willing to go back down and get her.
Saturn in Aries: Nobody Is Coming to Give You Permission
Saturn moved into Aries and it has one message and it is not subtle.
Nobody is coming to give you permission.
Not your therapist. Not the timing. Not the right circumstances. Not the version of you that finally feels ready, because I have some news about that version of you, she is a myth. Confidence does not come before the action. It comes after. Every single time. Without exception.
Saturn in Aries is the sign of going first. Of being the one who raises their hand before they know the answer. Of doing the brave thing not because it feels brave but because the alternative, staying exactly where you are, has finally become more uncomfortable than the risk.
This is your prompt for this section and I want you to actually do it. Name the one thing you would do if you knew you could not fail at being seen doing it. Write it down. Now make a plan to do one small piece of that thing before the next issue of this magazine lands in someone else's hands.
Not the whole thing. One piece. Saturn in Aries rewards the person who starts, not the person who plans to start when everything is perfectly aligned.
Spoiler: Everything is never perfectly aligned. That is not how any of this works.
Page of Swords: Pick It Up. You Don't Have to Master It Yet.
The final card I pulled was the Page of Swords and it is the permission slip the collective has been waiting for.
Pages are beginners. Students. People at the very start of something. The Page of Swords specifically is young and sharp and unafraid to ask the uncomfortable question even when their hands are shaking a little while they do it. Swords rule truth, communication, and the willingness to cut through what is false.
This card is not asking you to be the Queen of Swords. Composed, masterful, unshakeable. It is asking you to be the Page. Curious. Willing. Just brave enough to pick up the sword of your own truth and start learning how to hold it.
You do not have to have it figured out. You do not have to be ready. You do not have to know exactly who you are becoming before you start becoming her.
You just have to pick it up.
The Real Talk
Here is what all of this looks like put together.
Pluto retrograde turned the lights on in the basement. Uranus in Gemini is rewriting the story. Saturn in Aries is taking away the permission slip excuse. And these three cards are telling you that the prolonged suffering is lifting, the self you lost is not gone, and you do not have to be a master to begin.
The collective is being asked right now, in the middle of all of this planetary chaos and cultural noise and general what is even happening energy, to stop cooperating with its own invisibility. And I know that sounds like a lot. I know it sounds vague and spiritual and fine but what does that actually mean, Seph?
It means this:
The words you swallowed are still in there. The self you edited out is still in there. The dream you filed under unrealistic is still in there. And the cosmos has coordinated an entire planetary situation to create the conditions for you to finally stop pretending otherwise.
You do not have to do it all at once. You do not have to be fully healed or fully formed or fully anything. You just have to be willing to be seen in the process. Imperfectly. Incompletely. As a beginner picking up a sword they have never held before.
Three questions to sit with this month. Write them down. Answer them honestly. Do not perform the answers even to yourself.
What have I been surviving that I have been calling fine.
What story am I telling about myself that is actually armor.
What one thing am I waiting to feel ready for.
Then do one thing, one small specific thing, that is more true to who you actually are than what you did yesterday.
That is Pluto finding it. Uranus naming it. Saturn making you move anyway.
The Page of Swords does not wait until they are ready. They pick up the sword and figure it out.
You have been in the cave long enough, bestie. The world needs what you have been keeping in there.
Come out, come out.
Love you deeply and dearly, Seph
P.S. The hermit always comes back from the cave with something worth sharing. Trust your timing. But also. It is time.
